ASP.Net Web App Developer

Pen Publishing Interactive, Inc. has an immediate need for a ASP.NET Developer on a full time/permanent basis.

Position Description:

Build and maintain database driven web-based .Net applications, develop publishing management systems, conversion tools, automation tools and procedures, and miscellaneous support projects.  Work closely with production staff.

Qualified candidates must have development experience across all phases of the project development life cycle. Experience with ASP.Net, C#, ASP, VB.Net, Visual Basic, XML/XSLT, JavaScript, IIS, Visual Studio and Windows 2000/2003 on web applications is required.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Plans, develops, tests, and documents .Net applications
• Converts project specifications or requests, consisting of written summaries, flowcharts and diagrams, into sequence of web pages, forms, and connectivity to applications.
• Analyzes, reviews, and alters web pages to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
• Use Visual Studio in the creation and design web applications.
• May monitor performance of web site after implementation.
• MS- SQL database experience, Transact SQL stored procedures, LINQ

Minimum requirements:

• Ability to self-manage individual workload as assigned.
• Complete knowledge of ASPX, HTML. XML, XSL, and XSLT.
• Strong knowledge of ASP.Net, C# programming.

• Written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to answer conceptual questions.
• Ability to work politely to external, as well as internal, customers.

Education/ Experience Requirements:

• 2+ years of ASP.NET experience with C# and VB.NET 
• 2+ Years of experience with MS-SQL writing stored procedures and database schema design, LINQ 
• Experience and knowledge of Object Oriented Programming concepts
• Experience with Web Services
