Project Challenge

The Rise Up Reno Prevention Network website challenges included:

• An outdated design that didn’t promote the energy and mission of the organization.
• The website was not mobile responsive. Visitor experience was not optimal when browsing on mobile devices and tables.
  
• The website donation process was cumbersome and confusing to the site visitors. In turn, CTC missed out on extra funds.
• The open source platform the website used needed constant updates and security patches. The internal team had to run these updates, cross their fingers and hope they went well.
• Limited budget for the project.

Project Analysis and Approach

Rise Up Reno Prevention Network partnered with Pen Publishing Interactive because we listened.

Rise Up Reno saw a trustworthy partner that would host, support and design their website.

Initial conversations included discussing the obstacles the website needed to solve for Rise Up Reno. Our project approach included a face-to-face meeting with the team. We heard about the amazing work accomplished and future needs of the organization.

After meeting we began to create.

We submitted various website design options for feedback. The team provided great insights and input.

Once approved, we began to do what we said we would do, deliver a quality site on-time and on budget.

Project Outcomes

We solved all the challenges the previous site had. The new Rise Up Reno website is responsive for mobile and tablets. The design is on brand, embodies the mission and energy of the organization.

The new site runs on our home-grown (organic) content management system, FlipperSiteDeveloper.   We provided training for the whole Rise Up Reno staff on how-to update content, add images and use the new tools.  The internal staff no longer has to try and learn plugins, code or maintain back-end processes.   

The one-click donation button allows Rise Up Reno to collect donation online.  We provide hosting services and SSL certificate data encryption.

We achieved the outcomes we set forth to conquer.
